Dr. Tim O’Brien, Chairman & Co-Founder
Timothy J. O’Brien is Chairman of the Board and co-founder of the company.
He currently serves as Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UAMS and is the
current Director of UAMS Arkansas BioVentures. Dr. O’Brien received his Ph.D.
in biochemistry in 1967 from the University of Illinois. He has worked in the field
of gynecological oncology for over 30 years at the University of Southern California
and UAMS. Dr. O’Brien has authored a number of peer-reviewed papers, 16 patents
and 23 pending patent applications. One of the first diagnostic tests for ovarian
cancer based on the CA125 gene was from Dr. O’Brien’s work. Dr. O’Brien
will provide technical direction and expertise to the company in Research and Development,
as well as overall leadership. |

John Beard, Production Manager
Mr. Beard has a B.S. in Biology with an emphasis in Molecular Biotechnology from
the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and he is currently completing an MBA
from UALR. He has worked for five years in the identification, isolation and preparation
of tumor markers for gynecological cancers at UAMS. Most notably, Mr. Beard was
heavily involved in the cloning and characterization of the DNA sequence for the
CA125 gene. Mr. Beard has co-authored 4 publications. He will provide day-to-day
management of reagent production for Stage I and will conduct research and development
activities. ”

Dr. Mary Good, Director
Donaghey University Dean, University of Arkansas, Little
Rock.
Dr. Good is the Dean of Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology
at the University of Arkansas, Little
Rock and serves as the managing member for Venture Capital Investors, LLC. Previously
Dr. Good served four years as the Under Secretary for Technology for the Technology
Administration in the Department of Commerce, a position appointed by the President
and confirmed by the Senate. Dr. Good also presently serves on the Board of Biogen,
a successful biotech company in Cambridge Massachusetts; IDEXX Laboratories of Westbrook,
Maine; and the Lockheed Martin Energy Research Corporation Board of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Before joining the Administration, Dr. Good was the senior vice-president of technology
at Allied Signal, Inc., where she was responsible for the centralized research and
technology organizations with facilities in Morristown, NJ; Buffalo, NY; and Des
Plaines, IL. Prior to joining industry, Dr. Good was the Boyd Professor of Chemistry
at the Louisiana State University. Dr. Good received her B.S. in chemistry from
the University of Central Arkansas and her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in inorganic chemistry
from the University of Arkansas. |

Mr. H. Watt Gregory, III, Director
Partner, Kutak Rock LLP
Mr. Gregory is a partner in the Little Rock office of Kutak Rock LLP, a national
law firm. He specializes in corporate and securities law. His practice has been
concentrated for over 36 years in business development and finance, including initial
public offerings and issuance of other equity and debt securities in the public
markets, as well as private equity and venture capital-related financings involved
in business formation and development. Mr. Gregory’s practice also focuses
on mergers and acquisitions, with particular emphasis during the past ten years
in the health care and life sciences industries. In the life sciences industry,
his practice includes representation of emerging technology companies as well as
institutional private equity funding sources, in fields such as cancer, osteoporosis
and infectious disease diagnostics and therapeutics. Mr. Gregory received his B.A.
degree from Vanderbilt University and his LL.B. degree from the University of Arkansas,
School of Law. |
